The use of haptic technology is growing, it is evident in its adopted by major mobile phone vendors. VR controllers from major brands have also included haptics vibrations. And in cars, more and more OEMs are adopting haptics to replace physical buttons and knobs with touch screens and touchpads with tactile feedback.
Haptics and interactions enabled content is consumed in a huge number of devices (4.2B are the active smartphones in 2020 according to Newzoo).

What is Interhaptics for mobile?
Interhaptics for mobile gathers all Interhaptics haptics features but for mobile development. Among them, you will find the Haptic Composer, as well as the Unity plugin to integrate the perceptions (vibration patterns and textures) to your application. This powerful tool will give you the opportunity to create amazing haptic feedback for iOS and Android devices.
What is the beta?
This launch will include an Android beta testing phase with selected users. This first trial will give you the opportunity to use as well as giving us feedback, in order to improve the product. All comments will be taken into consideration to release a top tier haptic designer for Mobile.
Reason why it is only available for Android
The beta version will only be available on Android devices as the Android deployment requires more testing. Interhaptics is already compatible with Oculus Quest, which means this is not the first time our developer team works on Android mobile operating system.
Compatibility
Interhaptics for mobile will be compatible with devices starting from Android 9 (API level 28). But it will also depend on each smartphone because the device might support the software, however it might not have the actual proper equipment to make it work.
